[中文]中国是一个农业大国,然而,水资源紧缺、洪涝灾害频繁、水污染严重、水土环境恶化已成为制约我国农业乃至整个国民经济可持续发展的瓶颈。农业水土工程学科正是瞄准上述这些不仅影响我国国民经济可持续发展和人类生存环境, 而且倍受世界所关注的重大问题而发展起来的。它是研究水、土运行规律与持续高效利用的理论与技术,合理利用农业水土资源,创造良好的农业水土环境为农业可持续发展服务的新兴边缘科学重点研究内容是农业节水理论、田间节水灌溉新技术与节水灌溉设备、中低产田改良的排水技术、水资源持续利用理论与工程技术、灌区用水管理、农业水土环境监测、修复与保育、农业高效用水的工程技术等方面的应用基础理论和新技术。其覆盖范围较广、学科交叉性很强。[/中文] [外文]China is a big agricultural country, however, water scarcity, frequent flood disaster, serious water pollution, soil degradation are still bottlenecks of the sustainable development of agriculture, and even the whole nation’s national economy.Agricultural Science and Engineering is aiming at these anguished world concerns which not only affect our national sustainable development and human existence.It is the theory and techniques of studying the law and the high-efficiency utilization of water and earth operation .it is a rising borderline science, studying how to make good use of land and water resources and how to create a favorable environment for agricultural land and water, services for the sustainable development of agriculture.It focuses on water saving irrigation theory, new technology of water saving irrigation in the field, water-saving irrigation system equipment, the improvement of drainage technology in low- and medium-yield, the theory and technology of water sustainable utilization, agricultural water management in irrigation area, Agricultural and environmental monitoring, technology of agricultural high-efficiency utilization of water, and so on.
