一、TW在中国

通过51job搜索，本人发现，国内技术写作行业/岗位需求有如下特点：

l         IT行业（特别是通讯行业）相对需求较多；

l         北京、上海、深圳等经济发达地区需求较多；

l         外资企业相对本土企业需求较多,如IBM、HP等，本土公司有华为（资料开发）、中兴（文档开发）等有很多出口需求的公司；

l         英文技术写作需求比中文多；

l         总需求仍然很少，但有增长。

另一方面，国内高校及其他技能培训机构还没有技术写作专业或职业培训，因此人才输出只能靠企业自身培训及个人技能学习。而一个企业，特别是IT企业，如果要发展壮大，甚至走出国门，则必须向国外大企业看齐，重视技术写作。

因此我认为，技术写作是一个很有发展潜力的职业，特别是对于科技英语专业（纯翻译是很枯燥的，可又很难给自己找到其他好的职业定位），以及对此感兴趣的IT相关专业。只是国内该职业尚处于萌芽、发展阶段——也是我们能够做大做强，成为“专家”的机会。

二、TW在国外

Technical Writer(技术写作）职业在美国、欧洲等IT行业发达的地方已经发展的相当成熟，并形成了许多专业组织，比较著名的有：

STC, Society for Technical Communication，http://www.stc.org/

STC总部在美国，是国际上影响最大，会员人数众多的一个组织，面向会员提供各种课程，每年在一个地方组织会议共同探讨面临的问题及解决之道，参与人数众多。成为会员是要按年缴费的。

TEKOM, Technische Kommunikation，http://www.tekom.de/

TEKOM，欧洲最大的技术传播行业协会，总部在德国。同样定期举办会议，会员信息共享交流，同时很多文档工具公司会展示最新成果及产品。

三、TW简介

技术写作(Technical Writing)是借助技术写作人员的专业素养和语言文字能力，把复杂难懂的科学技术信息，以逻辑上缜密、体例上简明扼要、用户易懂易用的方式，翻译、编排、图示、整合为各种纸质、电子、在线、或多媒体的技术文档资料。

1、TW的主要任务

1）分析目标受众的技术信息需求；

2）研究数据，与相关专家深度沟通，了解产品或过程；

3）收集、整理和索引化可供参考的资料手册；

4）制作、编排需要出版的文档、图表；

5）编辑、标准化、精化其它人准备的材料；

6）准备发布材料的版面编排；

7）准备供项目人员或顾客评估的发布草稿；

8）建立和编辑在互联网、内部外部网的网页；

9）文档体系的规划、文档模板的策划；

10）文档翻译、审核、测试、验证和持续改进以及版本变更跟踪。

以上任务根据各个公司具体分工的不同而相应地增减。

2、TW的素质要求

TW的文化程度通常为大学本科或以上，爱好写作/创作；在自己的专业领域知识较为精深，有语言天赋、较强文字功底，文档需要翻译时还应有相应的外语水平要求；有较强的逻辑思维和综合归纳能力，能精准理解技术概念和描述事物，将理解的含义规范、流畅、凝练、通俗地表达出来；能承受文档提交截止期下的工作压力。对专业化的技术写作人员还要求知识渊博，持之以恒学习新知识，保持长时间和大工作量情况下保持对文字的敏感性。

3、TW的一般步骤

通常分为5个步骤：

1）做好准备

包括确定此次技术写作要达到的主要目标；评估受众/读者的信息需求；决定技术写作范围多大；选择适当的写作媒介。

2）调研

通过现场调查、电话、会议、研讨、图书馆和互联网搜集相关信息，并且认真做好记录。

3）信息的组织

对调研阶段收集的杂乱无章、不连贯的信息，按一定的索引形式进行整理和组织。对信息组织的方式可能形成各自不同的习惯方式。

4）具体写作

先写出文档大纲，再把大纲扩展成段落，第一份草稿不要担心语法和语言的精练或标点符号。

5）精炼修改

检查草稿，看是否能准确完整和有效地达到目标和满足读者需要。多读几次草稿，每次寻找和纠正不同的问题和错误。首先集中在大的问题上，如统一和连贯性问题；留下机械式的纠正工作（如拼写和标点符号）放在后面的校订中。对于重要文档，要考虑请其他人来审查文档并提出改进建议。

注：技术写作包括技术论文、产品说明书、用户手册、研究报告等。

The earthquke killing hundreds and injuring thousands more is just the latest in a series of earthquakes that have hit the region throughout its history, according to the China Earthquake Network Center (CENC).

Sun Shihong, a researcher from CENC, gave an exclusive interview to a reporter from People's Daily. According Sun's analysis, earthquakes have occurred many times in the history of Yushu due to its geological structure.

Yushu is located at the center of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau plate, which is very active and the epicenter of many massive quakes in the past. Therefore, this earthquake in Yushu was not unusual. Earthquakes occurred in both Taiwan and Yushu on April 14, and it reflects that the Earth has entered an active seismic period, though the two places sit on different plates.

Sun said that since July 25, 2009, seven earthquakes of 7.0-magnitude or above have occurred in the world, which is an average of 2.6 occurrences per month.

During the entire 20th century, the average frequency of such earthquakes was just 1.6 occurrences per month or 19 occurrences per year. The average frequency of earthquakes of 7.7-magnitude or above was two times per year for the entire 20th century, but in the past nine months, six such massive earthquakes have occurred in the world.

Sun believes that the earth has entered an active seismic period, and seismic researchers should pay extremely close attention to monitoring in order to find out whether even greater earthquakes (above 8.0 or 8.5-magnitude) will occur in the future.
